PLAIN and ROLLER BEARING
Bond semi-steel wheels are made of cast iron enriched with steel to provide a high strength, tough, abrasive and shock resistant wheel. The design exhibits an extra thick cross section and tread for high load capacity.
Semi-steel wheels should be used where load carrying capacity and ease of rolling are the primary considerations and floor protection is secondary. They provide excellent service on chip littered floors or rough surfaces where other treads might be damaged. High temperature applications are another area where Bond semi-steel wheels excel.
Bond semi-steel wheels are available as plain bearing wheels and wheels with bearings; roller bearings, tapered bearings, and bronze bushings. Smaller diameter wheels are also available with ball bearings.

BOND PLAIN BEARING WHEELS will be furnished with bores as listed in the specifications. Bores to your specifications can be furnished at a slightly higher price.
Faces of plain bore wheels are not normally machined. Oil holes for lubrication are provided in the hubs of all wheels. Pressure fittings can be furnished in wheels 4” in diameter and larger at an additional cost.

BOND ROLLER BEARING WHEELS are the easiest rolling of all wheels with either straight roller bearings or tapered roller bearings. The face of all roller bearing wheels are machined concentric to the hub bore to further ensure smooth rolling action. All wheels are fitted with pressure lubricating fittings in the hub. Lubrication through a hollow axle and pressure fitting is also available. |
OPTIONAL FEATURES
Other bearings are available such as ball bearings, Delrin bearings or bronze bushings.
Keyways and/or set screws for locking wheels to axle. Consult the factory.
Special hub lengths - Consult the factory.
Metal wheels with greater load capacity - Materials such as ductile iron, hot forged iron, or slab steel are available, please consult the factory.
Wheel bearing seals – Consult the factory.
High heat lubrication – Consult the factory.
Custom steel wheels - Wheel diameter and width or wheels with special faces such as crowned or grooved. Consult the factory.
